Antony Partos is one of Australia’s most awarded and renowned film composers. His work is defined by a distinctive blend of acoustic and electronic textures, often incorporating an eclectic palette of exotic and organic instruments.
His latest feature film Christy, directed by David Michôd and starring Sydney Sweeney, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and is currently screening theatrically worldwide. Antony’s feature credits also include Poker Face (Russell Crowe), Gold (Zac Efron), Rams (Sam Neill), I Am Mother (Hilary Swank), Jasper Jones (Toni Collette), 99 Homes (Andrew Garfield, Michael Shannon), Animal Kingdom (Ben Mendelsohn, Jacki Weaver), and The Rover (Guy Pearce, Robert Pattinson).
His television work spans acclaimed drama series including The Artful Dodger, Mystery Road, Last King of the Cross, Total Control, The End, Operation Buffalo, Rake, The Slap, and Wake in Fright. Additional projects include the Academy Award-nominated feature Tanna; BAFTA-nominated documentary Sherpa (winner of AGSC Awards for Best Music for a Documentary and Best Soundtrack Album, and AACTA Award for Best Music for a Documentary); Lucasfilm’s The Director and the Jedi, which premiered at SXSW; and the HBO feature film Fahrenheit 451, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.
Antony is a co-founder and director of Sonar Music, based on the Disney lot in Sydney, Australia.
